I checked the new CD at Dieter's and it was great sound - almost complete.

Available on several LPs and CDs. Some run too slow; the title listed does not. Good concert and the crowd is riotous. [CK] I disagree with DH on the total time as I see it as 57:17. However I do agree with his previous comments. The first two tracks are actually just counted as one when playing the disc, hence only 19 total tracks and not the 20 as the disc case states. Also, if one takes the time to look up where the Stones were on the dates listed for Tracks 14,15,19, the back cover lists these sources incorrectly. Some sound quality is better than the rating of 7 given to this CD but certainly not superior. Overall, this is a nice disc of early live Stones material though.

Haven't heard Leeds Revisited.

It is a great concert, lots of neat Mick/crowd banter. [DH] 70 min; Decent audience recording for 1969 but not good by modern standards. First released as the second ever Stones boot "We Didn't Really Get It on Until Detroit;" supposedly Mick said this meaning it was the first really good show of the tour. Now out on CD, dubbed from the very rare 2 LP set. 3 songs from a soundboard tape are available on a rare German LP, not on CD.

[Christopher Koenig] I don't remember how many people feel this is one of the best all-around CDs from the VL tour or not, but it is.!!!!
Get one if you can!! Check the Fingerprint File on the track listing but this thing is an absolute must. I don't think much has been said about it but is
simply, in my opinion:
1) as good as or better sounding quality as Voodoo At Halloween;
2) as good as the best performance of anthing I've heard to that point of the tour (I haven't really heard anything from the Euro shows yet).
But equal to Everything But The Cobra.
For people who, like myself, lost out on getting one of the few Fuckin Tired 3Cd sets, this will give you the whole show from 3/12/95.
Excellent sounding stereo. A 10!

Many, many different releases on LP, now almost the entire concert is on CD. Good audience recording for the time but Mick's voice is too loud. Average performance. The LP, the first rock music bootleg with good sound, caused a sensation back in 1970 and was even reviewed in Rolling Stone magazine. Coincidentally, a primitive incomplete soundboard tape recorded by Bill Graham's people is available on a rare German LP which was dubbed onto the "Hangout" CD. The soundboard tape sounds much different but the overall quality is similar.

I saw people buying at 50% - 100% above face value, i.e. 40 - 50 pounds ($60-70). Anyway, that was the best concert out of all the Wembley shows! [pkennedy@integral-inc.com] Although the band was definitely hot that night, as Jon has mentioned earlier the sound mix was off for most of the show (guitars way in the back), so the audience tapes that are out there don't give the show full justice. Maybe a soundboard source with some creative VGP remixing will give it new life.... Although VGP has done wonders with any audience tape they get their hands on... My most vivid memory of that show was Gimme Shelter... it was phenomenal that night....

With regards to the debris*, Mick seemed to dig, or at least not mind, jitterbugging about and dodging it. However when Keef stepped up to the mic to sing BTMMR (I think), Mick drawled, "Keef's gonna sing for you, now, don't be throwing things at 'im, cuz 'e doesn't move and it's not fair..." The show was opened by Journey and the Atlanta Rhythym section, who won our hearts by coming out and saying, "We're just gonna play a short set and get off the stage, we're not about to try to outrock the Rolling Stones." They played a great set, too. * in this case, people seemed to really take to tossing opened plastic jugs of orange juice, end over end, over the crowd onto the stage. Just lovely, being covered in OJ in the hot sun in the middle of, what, 90,000 people, that was.

This is a great audience recording from Seattle, Washington June 4 1972. It has some unique stuff on it like 'Loveliest Night Of The Year' and 'Loving Cup'. The band has some diffulities starting Midnight Rambler, but once they get goin it rocks. The sound quality on the Seattle tracks is great 1972 audience quality. The 6 bonus tracks, recorded at Madison Square Garden - unreleased part of Micks birthday party, are audience recordings as well.
