[Chris M] There are several variations to the CD title including single CD versions. The following has the complete musical content: "Nasty Music" 2CD (SODDCD-012-1/2) Cardboard cover edition. Same track list and venues as the LP title. There are no detectable "pops" on this recording, but there is some slight surface noise present on Dancing With Mr. D and Angie, so I have to conclude that this is made from an LP. Excellent clarity and deep bass response.

[There is feedback at the close of the song, and it is lurking in the mix throughout the performance after Jagger asked for the stage monitors to

[Chris M.] "Nasty Remixes" Singer's Original Double Disc (SODD-012). Actually a Vinyl Gang Product release. It uses the same cover artwork as the
"Nasty Music" LP, but there are different tracks and sources.
[Dave H.] This material was first available on rare German LPs but it sounds much better and is more easily available on this CD. It's both 1987-88
remixes and edits of the familiar Brussels and London songs, plus a few new ones which were not broadcast until 1987-88. Note the first 3 songs here
are identical to "Brussels Affair." Personally I prefer the original mixes but think this Japanese CD is worth tracking down. Note: This CD is also
available in a remastered version which is said to have a slight improvement in sound quality.

[jmarko@acad.suffolk.edu] This tape is an extreme upgrade from all the discs and copies I've heard. There is a much more immediate sound to the entire
tape, HOWEVER, the guitars are not much clearer than the others - same source lower gen. The vocals are booming up front, and it is a bass/Keith
heavy tape, I've just listened to the Let Me Go and you CAN hear Taylor. it's not a board tape - audience, but not bad. I think the indoor nature caused a
lot of stuff to bounce around. What is it with people in Kansas City ? They just CAN'T tape a show. They all suck: 72, 75, 81.
Actually this doesn't suck. But..... I can easily hear Taylor's licks on Time Is On My Side - they don't fit the way Woodie's do. They come and go.
The verdict: This tape is an improvement over any previously in cirulation, but it's not a board, nor is it dubbed from the apparent video that exists.

The recording is average at best. Good performance as usual but this is for completistsonly. [942789u@merkland.rgu.ac.uk] Certain tracks from this are available in excellent quality on the Scorpio release "A Shot of Salvation". If memory serves, rumour has it that the clear soundboard takes found on this title were officially taped and bought at auction. This is well worth seeking out, with Starf**ker and Mr D being the stand-out tracks from the Newcastle parts. If only the complete show was available in this quality...

The LPs have been copied onto CD. [shafner@webspan.net] According to "Crawdaddy Magazine" in a 1973 article about The Rolling Stones Nicaraguan Benefit show in January '73, they preformed "Moonlight Mile". That song (along with "Midnight Rambler") does not appear on the bootleg from that show, "All Meat Music" on TMQ. Only a truncated version of "Street Fighting Man" is on the LP. Is it possible to get the complete recording of this show, or at least the 3 songs that I mentioned? Short of that, could I get a review of how they performed "Moonlight Mile"? Was it just Jagger and some acoustic guitar accompanyment? Was there a guitar solo?...Stuff like that.

The first 5 songs have got a few volume-changes. A hiss on the right channel appears during YGMR and stays until Satisfaction. But the rest of this recording is great. A great show with a great setlist. During "Midnight Rambler" the concert really came back in my mind, what a performance ! Four bonus-tracks from the night before, also excellent aud-recording.

I never had this show before, so comparisons would not be fair. However, this show does rock with the guitars thrust way in front. As with the prior version, there is an audible (video tape?) hum between songs that immediately disappears when each song begins. Of the complete show soundboards I've heard (Houston and Hampton), this one tops both in terms of raw sound and performance. [BOgLiN, 942789u@merkland.rgu.ac.uk] I've just gotten a copy of this and I'm pretty impressed. I only had a small snippet of tape filler from Bloody Night In... to compare it to but the electronic hum is defintitley less intrusive on the VGP. Sounds great. Listening to shows from the TY tour, one of the most notable things is how good they are with decent piano and keyboard players - it seems to give them a bit of a lift. Maybe they'll get smart and have Mac back on keyboards soon.
